Who am I?
I am Aiman Omer, a Robotic Scientist and an Entrepreneur.
I was born in Omdurman, Sudan, in 1979. I had received a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering from Malaysia in 2003. I received my Doctoral Degree in Engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, in 2012. I worked as an Assistant Professor in the School of Creative Science and Engineering at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, from April 2013 to March 2018. Moreover, I was an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics at Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), from May 2012 to February 2018.
I am currently an Adjunct Research at Takanishi Laboratory at Waseda University, where I have been a member since 2004. I have been conducting research for developing Humanoid Robots and Medical Robots. Moreover, I am teaching some courses in the Department of Mechanical Engineering as a Part-time Lecturer at Waseda University.
I have a great interest in Entrepreneurship, pursuing a big dream of developing Robot Technology in the Middle East and Africa. To fulfill my vision for transferring robot technology to my home country, I launched WinRoad RTS a startup corporation that aims to transfer Japanese Robotic Technology to new markets through Marketing, Consultation, and Research & Development.
